My dad’s been in the hospital for the last couple of days although I just found out last night. I talked to him today and he says he’s a bunch better and my mom verified that. My mom took him Thursday morning when he could hardly get around. His hip has bad arthritis and his heart rate was only around 30 when they admitted him. It’s back to normal but they’re still not sure why. The tests should come back tomorrow. After I talked to him, I talked to one of my closest friends Tommy who just had a lung biopsy. It wasn’t cancer this time. I was so happy after the two phone calls, I almost cried when I walked away from the phone.

When it’s 4 degrees at midday, Matt Damon still warms my heart. Hot, brilliant, and completely stirring. At what point do you have to take down the Christmas lights. The snow makes them look so nice. Is this what people who leave them up all year think? “Wow, those lights that have almost fallen off the house and that are one third burnt out look so pretty against the dirt background when it’s 85 degrees out.” Actually some people can pull it off but come on, not the icicle lights people. I have just realized that with even all the years we’ve spent in New York, I have never had a white Christmas. The one Christmas of 2006 we did spend here, there was no snow on the ground. Every other one did.

Every year, Price Chopper runs a promotion, “Can Crazy”. It basically changes the song “I Want Candy” (Bow Wow Wow) to “Go Can Crazy” which features cans everywhere including some kids doing the romper stomper (like these except with coffee cans or something) thing. Duncan went can crazy today and I can’t get this stupid song out of my mind. I was singing it in the shower. It’s 4 here…and windy…burrr…

Just after we got the 10 inches cleared away from yesterday, we’re expecting another 5 to 7 today. That’s all well, it just doesn’t bother me anymore. At least today because I don’t have anywhere to be. Does anyone besides me remember last January when Pat Robertson predicted that at the end of 2007, the United States would again be a victim of a terrorist attack that would result in a mass killing? Like most things that come out of his mouth, it was wrong. Why does he even speak? He says some of the most ignorant things that I think he ACTUALLY believes he was sent here by God. I believe he was sent by the devil. He scare people so they will send money to his organization. The homosexuals are gonna get ya, the terrorists are gonna get ya, the feminists are gonna get ya, the Muslims are gonna get ya, and oh yea, the Jews are gonna get ya. Only living in primary states, I’ve never really understood what goes on at a caucus meeting. Wikipedia has a great explanation under Process and then has great explanations explaining the difference between the Republican Party process and the Democratic Party process. Caucus on Iowans. Remember that in 1992, Bill Clinton only got 3% of the vote. …oh, and Happy New Year! |
