She was wrong on a number of counts - Marie's son was not gay, as confirmed now by Roseanne. Marie also came out for gay marriage publicly on behalf of her daughter. Roseanne's comments were rude, tasteless, and now we know... wrong. Not to mention written when Marie was burying her son. I appreciate Roseanne's apology and think it took a lot of courage.
