1 September 2000
As you can see, I've been busy today. I
thought, with the new domain, it should be a little more cheery, but not
too cheery, that wouldn't be me. I also fixed the feedback section so it works with
Netscape now too. I'm multi-talented ya know. A lazy
vacation this week but this weekend is road trip time. Let me know
what you think about the new brighter, simpler site.

Went to Columbia, SC today. I liked
it. Both me and Duncan said we could live there, however have no
plans to do so. Charlotte, which I love, I was born a raised here,
is becoming so uppity. There is just too much money here, too much
traffic. However, we did have a great time and got to see The University of South
Carolina, South Carolina Museum of Art, and lots of other
stuff. Also got some great water tower pics.

Happy Labor Day. Does it seem like we're
working more than ever? Well, I am off today and very behind at
work but I refuse to go in. Did play disc golf in the mud though
and am wondering, will it ever stop raining? Who knows. Until
then, I'll continue to enjoy watching prison shows on The History
Channel all day.

Got to have lunch with one of my oldest and
dearest friends, Joe, today. Because of conflicting schedules,
laziness, and any other excuse to think of we never see each other
any more so there was a lot of filling in to be done. We did
pencil each other in for November to do it again. Life is too
rushed.

Went riding today and made it out alive.
I'm beat!, though no injuries for me. That is the toughest place
I've ever been. Plans for the rest of the day, crash. We did
make plans to make it a regular Sunday morning thing. I also need
to think about my dad's birthday, any ideas for a soon to be 78 year old
man? This man has more energy sometimes than me and he's actually
a great dude. He's getting up there in years and I will miss him
when he's gone. No time soon though. He'd pop me for saying
that.

Bad tire, Good Nathan
Bad start to the day but it only got
better. On our way to do some biking, repaving of the road
forced me to dodge some raised manholes. However, while doing
this, I neglected to dodge the median. I now have two ruined tires
that were nowhere near the end of their lives. Did have an
excellent ride with Nathan, no major crashes, changed the tire and came
home. Today was my dad's and my brother's birthday so we got to
have big ol' hamburgers and homemade ice cream. Delicious

Nice weekend, though sweating like a pig.
Just played some frisbee. Didn't get to go for the usual Sunday
morning biking because I was out of town. While watching Cops last
night, one of the best shows on Earth, got a call from Ray and Tommy who were broke down close by.
After standing on the interstate for what seemed like an eternity for
the tow truck, I had to bring them home. It was 1am by then so I
just stayed. It sucked for them but I always enjoy their
company. They live a long way so I don't get to see them
much. Ah, but on to better stuff. My poor Jeep (see Sept.
17), is now getting the treatment it so richly deserves. Within
the next few weeks (I hope), My Jeep will be transformed. My
poor tires will be replaced with new BIG 31 x 10.5"
tires. Of course, new wheels also. It shall have beautiful
2" lifts and new shocks inserted into all the right places, and
lastly, she will be taken to all the places which she has always dreamed
about. I must go now for a shower is in my forecast, as well as
dinner and the incredibly stimulating WWF pay per view UNFORGIVEN.

The old truck hit 100,000 miles this week although it almost didn't make
it much further because I ran it off the road as we were discussing what
a 12" dick would look like tattooed on my leg. Second time
this month ya know. Also stay tuned for next week as I hope to
have many pics of my Jeep which I am adding lifts and new beautiful BIG
tires and wheels to. It'll be great!
