Tomorrow will be a record number of days with no rain, number 40.
But who can complain with this beautiful weather? Sunny with not a
cloud in the sky, high about 80. But why can't I see the
sun? The fires in the mountains 125 miles away have loaded smoke
into the atmosphere all the way down here. It's nature, it's sad,
it stinks. --Really Bad--

I can't describe the feeling I had today except
that it was very melancholy. Fall is here and there was no sun
again today but mostly from the clouds instead of smoke. The sun
is setting and it's actually lighter now that the new streetlight is on
rather than depending on the sun. Duncan is home and I'm very
happy. I think I'm becoming emotionally dependent on him and I
don't know if that is a good thing but tonight I know he's
home.
Later. It's raining. We could have broken a
record today but I'm glad its raining for the first time in 40 days.

I can't believe that almost everyone I voted
for won yesterday, except for two that is, and I guess we'll learn about
Gore in a couple of days. When I first went to vote at 6:30 in the
a.m., the line was out to the street so I came back later in the day
with no problem. However, Duncan had a little problem because he
had not changed his address. After two trips across town he
finally made it. I was hungry and bitchy, and I know it
showed. I'm also pissed off because they still don't allow me to
give blood even though they are on TV appealing for it. My blood
is cleaner than most peoples I'm sure of. Oh yea, so long CJ
Underwood, I grew up with you man.

This weekend is my mom's birthday so I asked
her where she wanted to go, she decides the new K&W. This is a
great decision, however the trip to go shopping at Big Lots afterwards
might have topped it. My mom and dad are great, K&W is great,
and the fact that this work week is over is great. I'm also in the
Christmas spirit because it's cold out and they have lots of great
Christmas stuff at the Big Lots.

Had a great day today at the
Uwharrie National Forest. Did a lot of hiking, driving in the
jeep, no REAL jeeping though, saw four deer close up, that was
great. Discovered one of my new favorite small towns, Badin, NC.

On Dawson's Creek tonight, Andy is gone,
HOORAY. Now if only whiney Dawson would go away to college or
something it would be a great show again. Next is Voyager, then
SouthPark. Wednesday's are good for TV.

It's snowing. It's November. I've
never seen that before. Cool

We did the Thanksgiving thing today with my family, because Thursday,
we'll be at Duncan's folk's house. I'll let you know how it goes,
they're pretty nice people. The snow is over and we got two and a
half of inches, a record for November, it was cool.

I'm just a little bit scared today. I
bought doll clothes. Don't worry, I just started my Christmas
shopping today, the earliest in history. The "HE MAN"
football book I got should cancel out the doll clothes, but really, I
have no interest in either. I can't tell you the other gifts I got
because the recipients may see them here. I think Christmas may be
good this year because I'm in the spirit, unlike last year when I was an
old Grinch. I'm going to get a tree and I want a train going
around the bottom. Maybe it was the snow yesterday, which is all
gone, or the 22º tonight. But Christmas is a coming.

Happy Thanksgiving
We spent Thanksgiving with Duncan's family. I come from a small
family so it's always kind of a shock when I see all those people.
They're great though. Very entertaining with four other siblings,
their significant others, their kids, their significant others, their
kids, etc. A LOT of food, a LOT of desert, a good
time. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving too. Time for
leftovers.

What a busy weekend I've had. Some of the
greatest Jeeping ever, some mud but not too much, just the way I like
it. Oh yea, a great game of disc golf, I've been really GOOD lately, and
two great movies. We opted not to see The Grinch but instead to
see The Broken Hearts Club and Billy Elliot. I can only think The Grinch will suck. If anyone's seen it, let
me know. I don't remember the last time we've been to two GOOD
movies in one weekend. The only sore point was somebody at work decided to leave the valve on a 55
gallon drum of soap open. I'll seek my revenge on that person
tomorrow.
