I have had four major accidents on
my bike over the years. Call it carelessness, bad luck, or just
the young or just being young. I have worn a helmet my entire
adult life and the accidents I've had have been head related. I
thanked my helmet many times. When I was young, because that's
what young boys do, I had many accidents and broke bones and suffered a
many a road rash. Finally after many years of reliable
information, the North Carolina legislature has approved a helmet law. I can only guess someone with a
lot of political power knew of someone who was hurt on a bike.
More kids are hurt on their bikes than any other sport including
football or soccer and it's taken at least twenty years to get this
through. It's about time.
Now I must prepare for the weekend
visit of Michael & Lara,
our first overnight visitors.

Michael & Lara have left and
all is quiet again. I'm sure a good time was had by all.
It's good to see Michael & Duncan get to watch wrestling again.
They don't see each other much any more and so I miss the show they
put on during the show; it's more entertaining than the WWF
itself. Tune in next time to see WCW once again invade the WWF.

Condoms, condoms, everywhere, not a condom here to
spare. And Mountain Dew Slurpees at 7-Eleven, OH, Thank

Yesterday was a good day for the
most part. I got to see my folks which I don't get to see as often
as I used to since I live a little farther now. My dad fell and
that was very disturbing to me. He's fine but seeing him on the
ground like that made me think a little harder on the matter. He's
78 years old and one of the smartest and wisest people I know.
He's still very active and has a lot of friends and seems to still have
fun with life, probably a lot more than when he was raising us
kids. Still, his body is getting more fragile and it hasn't been
too many years ago that he could have probably taken me, not that he
would have. My dad and myself are very close now. Growing
up, we were not very close at all, just in the last 15 years or so have
I developed this friendship with him. I will truly miss it when
he's gone. But what am I saying, he'll probably out live
me.
It also makes me appreciate what a
good man I have. We have our moments, but I love him very
much. I enjoy seeing him every day and miss him when I don't.

Later...
Today: Biscuitville, Flea
market, Library, Dog, Guns N' Roses, and coming soon to a stomach near me,
delicious, eatable, filled with who knows what, Hot
Dogs. A fun filled day filled with learning, junk, (notice the
cool 1967 NC map), and lots of fatty foods.

Happy birthday my lover, my best
friend. May we have many, many more together.

They fight! and bite!
They fight and bite and fight!
Fight, fight, fight!
Bite, bite, bite!
The Itchy and Scratchy Show!
Itchy and Scratchy, that's me.
I've somehow gotten into the poison ivy, I say somehow but I pretty much know
how. I seem to be a magnet to it because at least once every
summer I end up getting into it. That's alright, I seem to be more
immune to it compared at least to the extent that I would get it when I
was a kid. I remember quite a few times getting it and it ended up
on EVERY part of my body, yes every. That's what you get for not
washing properly after you come in contact with the bad stuff. I
must search out the Benadryl now.

Super good day today. Started out getting down and dirty
with the Jeep. Terror struck when I got stuck but skill and 4WD
got me going again. Thanks 4WD. Then I spent the day with Ray and Tommy and had a super good
time, watched a full hour of Cops and now two hours of Tina and then two
full hours of Cher.
When's a gay boy supposed to leave the house?
Come home soon Mr.........

31 July 2001
Yes, I'm back. I hope you
haven't lost too much sleep wondering where I've been. Oh you
didn't notice that when you came here last there was a nice note from my host telling
you I haven't paid my bill? No picture of me standing beside my
beautiful Jeep? No sarcastic musings or boring day to day
adventures? In April, I got a new e-mail address, a new telephone
number, a new home address, and the credit card number they had
expired. I noticed last month that my card wasn't being
debited. Numerous tries to make a payment at their site went
unsuccessful. Numerous e-mails about this problem went unanswered.
I figured when they got tired of me not paying the bill, they would
contact me. Of course they couldn't. Down it went. So
I started calling and calling and e-mailing and e-mailing with no
help. Three days later I contact a real person who was very nice
and very helpful.
