I have Las Vegas, Hoover Dam, and Boulder City pictures but just
haven't had any time to do anything with them yet. I'm off tomorrow so
maybe then. I also have wallpapering to do as well as yard work, so
maybe not.
Over time, I learned to really like Schenectady. Besides getting our
bond rating back to investment grade, many other
things make me proud.

Project of the year--done--my favorite thing is the new ceiling. OK,
the red flowery wallpaper is gone also and that may really be my
favorite part. But the fake tile is replaced with wainscoting and that
may be my favorite part. Whatever, I think I'll go break it in. More
pics here. ..........

I knew my allergies were worse this year than I can remember and now
I see that pollen
is worse than it's been in years. I have no doubt. And though meager,
I have posted some of the pictures we took on our trip to Las
Vegas. The trip was much
better than the pictures.
And The Dixie
Chicks are back and rock n' like only they can.

I love planting flowers and working in the yard. All the color is
glorious. What I don't like is mowing and planting grass and digging in
the dirt to loosing it up so the grass will hold and watering every day
so the grass will grow, and after today, it better grow.

10 May 2006 It behooves me to obsess over
American Idol. I don't know why. I will say it again, I hate reality TV
but I must watch this show and this year I've even been voting the last
several weeks. Redial...redial...redial. I must vote for Elliott.
They're all so good I wouldn't be disappointed if any of them win, but
Elliott is so talented and so nice and hot to boot. But then so is
Chris. I predicted the final four in
February and had two of them down. I think Elliott is safe again
tonight. In fact, I don't think he'll be in the bottom two because
that's how good he was last night. I got a package together for my mom
yesterday. I hate missing Mother's Day with her. That's really all she
wants and she asks so little. I think next year I'm gonna make sure I'm
there. ..........
10 May 2006...Later
I'm a great-uncle today. My nephew had a little baby boy named
Clayton. When I lived with my brother, this is the kid I used to watch Pee
Wee's Playhouse with as we danced around the house and sang in
unison. Now he's a daddy.
Why aren't I a daddy? OK, maybe I won't go there just right now.

13 May 2006 Today was mostly a do nothing
day. I planted some flowers in the kitchen
flower box because I've been anxious to do some spring planting for
quite a while. I bought some more flowers but I just didn't feel like
messing with them today. My sinuses are literally killing me and have
been for the last week. I may end up going to the doctor on Monday if
they don't get any better. I've taken everything there is over the
counter. I just wanted to say, I have the sweetest mom ever. I'll be
doing inventory most of tomorrow so let me say it now. Happy Mother's
Day, I love you and thank you for everything Mom. ..........

I fell better today. I actually considered the fact that I had a
brain tumor. I don't guess I do.

20 May 2006

Finally,
finally, I had time to so something for me, we had some time to do
something for we. After more than 60 brutal hours at work this
week, we hit the road today, the mountains of Vermont to be more
precise. After day after day of rain, the scenery was simply
spectacular. We came upon a windmill
farm that I'm sure simply discusses many people as the windmills
stick out way above the trees. I found them simply beautiful as they
spun in silence. A lot of them were covered with clouds while we were
there but here
are some great clear pictures. I also got a chance to put out my
big red planters I got last fall. I put hydrangeas
in them and they are beautiful. I said beautiful twice in this entry. ..........
23 May 2006
Dog in a bag, enough said.
After a month of rain and cold weather, it's finally starting to
break. I've even had to switch back to long pants for the last several
days but that ends today or tomorrow. I'm gonna plant some more flowers
today that have been on the back porch for a couple of weeks and then go
into work. I'll probably be wishing I wasn't at work.

29 May 2006
First, is anyone besides me sick of the Geico commercials with the
cavemen? I hate those spots. Go back to the gecko guys. I'm really
happy this month is almost over. This month at work has sucked really
bad. I'm mentally drained and physically beat down. I've been sick with
allergies the whole time except for a few days in the middle of the
month. I've taken every pill under the sun, gone through an unbelievable
amount tissue, and had a headache much of the time. For the past few
days, though work is still crazy, I feel good. The sun is out and the
heat has finally arrived. My last Idol
babble. You know I wanted Elliott to win so the last performance show
was anticlimactic. However, the last show was from God. Elliott and Mary
J. Blige, Prince, Live and Chris Daughtry, Paris was back kickin' it,
Mandisa and Lisa were supreme, the other idols were belting out at their
best, and the comedic performances were great. We had to look at Ace but
after Meatloaf, it wasn't that bad. I hope not to look at Idol next year
because I hate getting this hooked. I'm watching Jarhead
and it's Memorial Day. Don't forget to thank your veterans today. As
much as this country can suck as still not everyone is created equal,
it's better than almost all the others. ..........
30 May 2006 It's almost certain that Eliot
Spitzer will be our next governor barring any unforeseen circumstances.
I actually like a lot of what he says and I think he has a lot of
integrity. After twelve years, George
Pataki isn't going to run again. Most say he couldn't win again
anyway which I don't understand because I kind of like the guy. His
approval rating has falling to record low levels. Eliot Spitzer has
personally expressed support of gay marriage but has to fight it in
court because it's his job. It'll be interesting to see what happens
when he gets elected. ..........
