At night, you could be blind and easily find the gay section of Bourbon St. because the music blasting onto the street suddenly has the beat that comes out of every gay club. In the day hours, you could be deaf because the street suddenly takes that "clean" look. One the things I liked best about New Orleans is there are quiet gay pubs open all day long. You can just go in and chill. Never a cover.
